Craps Tips and Advise

When you step up to the table to join a game of craps, you shouldn't feel intimidated. We're here to help you to improve your gaming skills with our craps tips page here in craps 777. All you need to play craps well is our craps tips and some self-confidence. Read on, and you'll learn how to play craps quickly and easily.

There are very few bets worth placing – a "Pass Line" bet and a place bet on 6 or 8. These two bets have a house edge lower than 1.5%, which means they're considered among the best possible bets in any casino in any casino.

Don't go near the proposition bets in the center of the craps layout. The house edge on these bets can go up to 16%, making the bet a "house bet" – great for the house, bad for the player.

As soon as you figure out how Odds bets work, be sure to add them to every Pass Line or Come bet.

Don't bet at tables that have a minimum bet that's too high for you.

Don't hesitate to ask if you don't understand something. The dealers can be quite helpful.

When you win, pick up your winnings. Nobody else is going to do it for you.

One Pass bet and two Come bets are a recipe for action at the craps table. Don't lose yourself in the game, or you'll find yourself wasting your money on the "house bets" with the high house edge.

When you want to make change, craps 777 advises you not to hand it to the dealer, since he's not allowed to take the chips or cash directly from the players. You can, however, place the money on the table layout before any dice are rolled, and call "change only" to the dealer.

Don't forget about the craps betting methods, such as Pass, Don't Pass, Come, Don't Come, Odds, Field bets, and Big 6/8. When you want to make any other bet, place the chips on the layout of the craps table and ask the dealer to place the bets on the desired spots.

When the dice are rolled and the game is played, make sure your hands don't get in the way, since you don't want to interrupt the correct course of the game by touching the dice. The dealer will call a bad roll and they'll have to start over. Other players will probably get mad at you too.

Use the rails surrounding the tables to store your craps chips and to hold your drink.

When it's your turn to be the shooter, toss the dice well, making sure that they hit the other side of the table. Don't ever try to slide the dice on the layout, hoping to control the results. If you do that, you get 3 chances. On the first chance, the boxman will call "No Roll". The second time, there will be a small penalty, and the 3rd time you'll get thrown out of the game and maybe even the casino.

If you place a Don't Pass bet, don't scream "Go Seven!", since not only will you bet against most players around the table, but also you'll also be gloating when they lose. It'll make everyone around you feel uncomfortable.
